Spokane

Life has sort of 'started' for us. We have done quite a bit since our last post (which is a good thing!) 
We have had the opprotunity to visit quite a few places around Spokane. Here are just a few:

We went camping on the river. (We are only about 10 minutes away from the river)

We visited a park called 'Bowl and Pitcher' . It, also, is very close to where we are living.  Spokane has some beautiful areas!

 

Several weeks ago, we drove over to Coeur D'Alene, Idaho (which is only about 40 minutes away). We went with the couple we are renting from and had a lovely time (pictures below). The town is considered a 'resort' town and is basically built around a lake.  

While we were there they had a wooden boat show, and hydroplane races. There were also some float planes that would randomly take off in the middle of the lake with many boats around. Pretty cool.

To the left is the couple that we are renting from. They have been such a blessing to us!

As far as WHAT we are doing:

Mikel has started school. He is now two weeks into it and really enjoying it! He is finding out quickly that he has a heavy load, so we are still trying to feel out what life is going to be like. The Lord DID provide a job for Mikel. He is working at a burger place called Zips, and we are thankful for the income at the moment! We aren't sure how long he'll be able to work due to his heavy school load, but until I am able to find a job, he is going to keep working.

I have been studying a lot to prepare for the NCLEX (nursing state boards). I took them this past Monday (the 29th) and found out on Wednesday that I PASSED!!! We are praising the Lord for that, and I want to say thank-you to EVERYONE who has been a part in supporting me through school. It was a bit of a crazy ride and every bit of support, and every encouraging word was treasured!  We are now waiting on the state to issue me my license. Pray with us that this license will be used for His Glory alone!!!

We have gotten to meet several young couples from the school. This has been a blessing since we have known no one here. We are still looking for a church in the area. Moody requires that you attend 5 different churches before you settle down in one, so this is what we are working on. Continued prayers in this journey would be appreciated!!
